Damn the national team... Got two dudes knock into my kayak with their canoe... This was wat happened: We were both approaching the pontoon then they were slowing down lar... but not to a complete stop den like getting close to me liao.. but the speed was very slow... AND I THOT THEY COULD STOP THE STUPID SLOW CANOE BUT THEY DIN! and you know what they said?? "excuse me"
I WAS LIKE HUHHH??? my boat so bloody long you want me how to excuse you?!?!?! Doesn't it make more sense for you to stop ur boat???
It's the same as I park my car in horizontally across a road... and you approaching me. having see my boat was there aLLLL ALONG... and have slowed down... approach me at a slow speed... den when you are so near me.. u say excuse me... if i could i sure spurt vulgarity at u... yOU EXPECT ME TO REVERSE TO LET UR POK CANOE TO GET PASS AH??? crazy! I won't be fast enough to steer the whole kayak out in time laR! even the best canoeist can't do it... BUT the WEAKEST CANOEIST can stop a bloody canoe... Call yourself national team... don even have sorry... SHIT U!

That was the cheapest KTV, excluding my bathroom, I have ever been to!

Ate the famous KATONG LAKSA. Special things: Prawns, BIG HUMz, Lots of Beansprout, Fragrant Gravy.

Went Kayaking today - I was more stable. I went a greater distance. I changed my strokes a little cos my old strokes were not sustainable.

I GOT PANG SEI BY SOMEONE... It's either me or the way the message was written. I think it's the latter. Hope I don't get pang sei-ed again ON SUNDAY.

KTV sing until not veri shiok. HAve'nt reach the max yet. My adam's apple is still itching guys....

There is something stuck in my throat... Some gaseous-liquid mixture that's making me feel queasy...

Early matriculation in MAY??? haha does it make a hell lot of difference??? 3 months? hmmm

With effect from 1st of October Children's day aka China National Day, 2LT Tan will be promoted to LTA... SO DON PLAY PLAY AH! I remember my brother holding the rank of LTA for a good 3-4months before he ORD (he's 27) and I am only going to hold it for 1 month. That shows the difference in the length our NS liabilities.*whines from old people*

Wait oLd people are not supposed to whine anyway..

Side track: If I'm ever gonna change a car... I will still go for a hatchback. A <1.5 litre hatchback which is preferably toyota. Top priority... Small... Light... Fuel efficient...

I am so blur today! It's like my mind just wanders off to Wonderland (no pun intended) when I stare at chem questions. I keep getting confused by myself as though my mind is full of tangled ropes or something.

I went to the Shell Station near my camp to pump petrol when I was on my way home today. So as usual, it was Formula 98 35 bux... (cheap hor? can last me approx 8 days). After confirming that the right amount of petrol was fed to my car, I went up to the cashier for payment. The cashier was this girl/woman. OK I am seriously not sure if she's my age/older than me/ MUCH MUCH older than me.
"Can your car take more petrol?" she asked in mandarin.
"HuH???" I replied with a smile. She gave a very shy smile and told me that they have an extra 3 bux discount for 25 litres. I pondered for a while and thought my puny petrol tank would overflow with an extra 6 litres so I told her it was ok. Paid the bill with my card and had a little conversation with her.
I find her erm... OK first thing SHe's not the glam glam type. Secondly, her hair is a little sparse at the fringe area (which could be the reason why I am not sure of her age). BUT her warm and concerned replies were so "my type" kind. HAHA ..
OK I didn't ask for her MSN. SO you people out there stop making wild guesses. I took my card and said goodbye. And as I drove out, my eyes were a straying in the direction of the cashier and then she came out... (I presume heading to the washroom) and waved goodbye...

WHAT HAPPENED TAN WEI LEI??? She very gorgeous meH??? haha hai... I think I lack care and concern... which is why a simple conversation can release so much endophin... haha hope to see her again....

I am Shag. I am Lousy. I am Slow.

Raptor was quite a fine kayak. It's really smooth and comfortable. BUT! For a someone like me, it's wasted. HAHA. BUT WTH I bought it. I was so slow! And the 2 times that I capsized today were always on the right. I wonder why. Could it be cos my left stroke is too far back? I think it is... OK so lesson for today... Shorten the stroke. Put the seat forward. Increase the frequency. My LOW frequency HIGH power stroke is not powerful enough. SO for I think I need to cut down on the power but increase the frequency.
NExt, I need to be conscious of my kicking. Esp when I recover. That's when all the wobble and tilting occurs which is aggravated by my long left stroke. TO encourage myself: Don't worry... this is the first time like in 2 years it's quite remarkable already! AND! it's the first time you're dealing with such boats! SO PUSH ON BABY!

ONE DAY... I will be JUST AS FAST!
My deltoids and stability were the limiting factor so I think it's high time I work on the deltoids and well stability.. it comes with hours and hours of practice I guess...

Yes I know.. I have not posted my Kayak's pic yet! Just too lazy to get the USB cable from my bedroom.. haha.. I will when I am in the mood K!

Right I shall go KAYAK again tml before blading! PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT! STABILITY BOY...

Tomorrow I will be seeing my long awaited Kayak. Somehow I feel less excited than I thought I would be. In fact, I am feeling rather SIAN diao now perhaps because the thought of capsizing is looming in my mind. I think it would be difficult to get to sleep tonight. I insist that I am not excited. Just apprehension...

I tried to connect to the net for one damn hour... It's really bad.

I need to work out a way to increase my income after ORD... Being materialistic is something that grows with age...

I don't dare to do it... I'm such a wimp...

Wow there are people who actually live in caves! Strictly speaking they are cavemen but judging from the way they deco the rooms, they belong to the modern lot. I thought this would only happen in Dungeon Keeper but it's appearing on TV. Yes I know TV is not exactly the most primary information (if u study history).

You know there are people who like to lift up their collars when they wear polo Ts? Who came up with that idea huh? Seems like SOOO many people are following it blindly. Did it start from the ALL BLACKS? hmmm... It looks good on selected few... BUT do not attempt if you have the slightest feeling that it makes your neck look shorter.

YEA the weekends are coming people and that also means my KAYAK IS COMING!!! From this Saturday onwards my status will be elevated to that of a kayak OWNER. I will then belong to a totally different class. The K1 kayak owners...
Think some of you have totally no idea what in the world is the K1 thing all about. Right here comes the explanation:

Firstly, what's the difference between a kayak and a canoe?
People who are not sure please quit leading others to think that canoe has a deck while a kayak is has no deck. The primary difference lies in the way they propelled and the position the person adopts in the boat. In a canoe, the canoeist adopts a kneeling position and paddles the boat in a way somewhat like a dragonboat. The paddle he uses has only ONE blade. On the other hand, a canoeist (don ask me why he is called a canoeist too) in a kayak adopts a sitting position and basically a kayak refers to the kind of boat you use in OBS.

So what's the K thing all about?
There are several forms of kayaking such as whitewater, slalom, flatwater sprinting, sea etc. Most of the time what you see in Singapore are the sea(Expedition/OBS) kayaks and flatwater kayaks. Your's truly just bought a flatwater kayak. A flatwater kayak on water is as stable as a pair of blades on land. It is very pointed and streamlined so as to reduce turbulence to enhance the speed. K in this case refers to Kayak~! Well how obvious... So there are K1s, K2s and K4s and the numbers behind the letters simply represents whether it's a single seater or double seater etc. Then there is the T class... Which not used in Olympics actually. It refers to the tourer class. It's much stable due to the flatter hull and large surface area. It is much wider than a K which is a little wider than my butt.

What's the fun thing about kayaking?
Oh nothing fun really. It's for masochists like me. =) Well if you like the sun and if you are a sunshine boy wannabe then the pain could be alleviated a little. The balancing part injects some excitment to the sport too!

I was behind this woman who was trying to merge into the main traffic on an expressway. She realised that she could not merge into the traffic so instead of adjusting her speed to slot in, she drove onto the ROAD SHOULDER... GOD! den ok soon I overtook her cos of her disgustingly sLOW speed. DEN SHE TRY TO COME BACK FROM THE ROAD SHOULDER INTO THE EXPRESSWAY WITH MY BLOODY CAR BESIDE HER... WAKE UP UR IDEA LAR AUNTIE

ok sorry.. I guess I am not a veri friendly driver.. BUT SERIOUSLY... IF you can't drive then please don.. DON waste time... DON endanger lives... DON think that just cos you drive slow means it's safe...
HOW SAFE CAN A TORTOISE BE IF HE IS CRAWLING ON THE EXPRESSWAY? YAH I'm sure the shell can shield him from getting crushed...

You know u also killed me? I kena honk by the other car cos u tried to cut in from road shoulder... SO SMART

Having said all that, please do no have the impression that I driving FRIGGING fast because I don't and I only travel at a reasonable speed....

I woke up at 540 this morning and caught the 610 mrt which brought me to Habourfront at 640. The moment I stepped out of the train station I was convinced that an early morning shower was imminent. SPot on. It rained the moment I got off the bus so I took shelter at the dolphin lagoon. It rained and rained. THen at 820 I finally made up my mind to get wet.. =(

Does anyone watch Hotel Wind and Cloud (酒店风云) ? It's one of those HK serials which will make you damn pek chek. There will always be this idiot good guy who thinks that the bad guy is a good guy. Then there will be another good guy whom the idiot good guy thinks is the bad guy. So the good guy becomes the idiot good guy's enemy and the idiot good guy tries to sabo the good guy. THEN, the good guy get tekan until damn jia lat to the brink of collapse. Finally he realises the bad guy is the bad guy and regrets. By this time, the good guy already kena until dying then the bad guy tries to KO the good guy and the idiot good guy. IN THE END, the good guy dies, den the idiot good guy manage to survive and tekan the bad guy. SO all of them die but the idiot good guy.

FAIL TO PLAN PLAN TO FAIL...

Failed today... nothing serious just a small erm...

I have decided to sign up for my sport climbing course. It's a rather cheap and cool activity I must say. SAFRA has the Climbing Centre thing so climbing wouldn't be much of a hassle. I think I have sunken into ********** again... Don't wanna let you know wat the STARS mean but don't worry it's not a bad word.

TOMORROW Is 3 Sept. haha doesn't make sense to most of you though...

LIFE is getting so boring since the day my course ended. Wish I could be a trainee all my life (erm am I sure?).
I saw this guy trying to pull the table cloth with 9storey high pyramid of glass cups placed on top. Every layer there is piece of cloth underneath so he jerks the cloth of layer by layer. THOUGH he's a joker but he said something really true.
"Pulling the cloth is just like life, you need to be decisive and bold."

Top that up, you gotta be decisive, bold and meticulous. I'm not... I NEED TO CHANGE. I need to tell myself yea that's it.. decided... move on.

How does it feel when you get a cold reply? It sucks...

Guess what, I just got the Young PAP application form from my MP. I told her "that was fast".

I spent hours, today, trying to influence QY into believing that biz ppl doing trading, finance, stocks etc are earning a justified income. They got extra money. They are willing to pay and the ppl like the fund managers are willing to render their services so why not? Half million for bonus? Totally justifiable.

Earn money with a heart. Sounds funny coming from me... But PLS try to understand.
