Watching Argentina vs Germany now... I don't know why but I prefer Argentina to win. Perhaps it's the effect of the 6-0 win Argentina had.
I just came back from SUPERMAN at Cathay. Guess who I watched it with? *drum roolllllzzzzz*
Darius. Yes not again. Two deprived guys...
For people who like to scrutinise movies and dig out small details of movies to prove that they are illogical please do not watch SUPERMAN. However, if you are like me, one who enjoys movies so long they are entertaining, SUPERMAN is the movie for you. SUPERMAN is so perfect and invincible that the movie struck as though it was an envangelical film. There is frequent mention of the father and son, the suffering for humanity, the saviour etc. Loise Lane (spell correctly right) is so attractive. She is not the pretty kind but the kind whom you would want to erm... strike a conversation with. It's a feeling beyond my description.
Boss gave us 1/4 day off today.
Went to eat Thai food during lunch.
Drove to Bugis to buy smelly tou fu but din get it in the end cos must enter erp gantry and there was no parking.
Bought sesame paste and tang yuan from beach road instead.
Sesame paste sux.
Parking at beach road tested my driving skill which, after today, is undisputedly fantastic.
Here's an incident which happened in one of the Army units (no names mentioned)
Today the commanders of various units conducted a simple parade in their camps to commemorate SAF day. It was also a parade to present the formation/div patch to the junior commanders in the unit. In one of these units, a parade was also conducted. The emcee annouced, "the CO will now present the badges to the BSOs.... starting with the battalion S1..." he paused and continued again... "S2.." "S....." at this point in time messenger came over to convey a msg to the emcee so he went "S... hold ah .. hold ah..." "ok S3"
Alright get the joke? hmm.. based on true events.

Yay IPPT Gold! Ran like hell, 200 bux... hope this time I get the money...
Actually I am quite tempted to get the Zen Vision M. I mean it should look quite cool.
I shall change my song weekly in accordance to my mood for the week. This week is kind of jovial. I cleared my first combat shoot and my IPPT so ORD seems so much nearer. The fact that I am going on course next week makes ORD seem even closer. *Which reminds me - I have not studied for the test yet, DARN! I wonder how I will feel when I ORD. Would I be hysterical? Or would I be lost? Wonder how my pink IC is doing now...
The worst thing that can happen to you - be unattached and have 2 movie tickets.
I am currently a victim of this extremely awkward situation. 2 is one of the most magical and hey hey number that can ever befall on you. It's both weird and hey hey. When you have 2 movie tickets, it's weird to ask another guy out to watch the movie with you, unless you are great pals, as it would seem rather gay. If you were to get a girl out, it would be an extreme case of hey hey. Either way you will be in a difficult position.
What should I do then?
How about getting my boss to watch with me? haha okok nvm... shall figure a way out and update you guys later.
I heard that myopia and intelligence are controlled by the same gene... hmmm I think I am smart...
I sewn on my ling ling long long finally.
These days I seem to have a supernatural power which allows me to know who has messaged me before I even open the message.
Oh wait I just guessed wrongly...

Boss was not around most of the time today.
Tomorrow's IPPT.
The day after is parade.
Feels like going back to my NPCC days when I get the arms badge and the formation/div badge.
Sewing at 1 dollar per item is robbery.
Do the "ling long ling long"s to be added to the uniform make us less tactical? Does it restrict us?
Got the Zen Vision M at 389 for Darius.
Heard that Darius got xtras because of the security check.
Realised pimples are sprouting on my right temple and right jaw.
Our lives are basically consists of events. We remember a particular day because of events and not because of it's uniqueness as a day on the calendar. Don't get it? Never mind.
Lost... How should I spend my time after ORD?
Here's the rough plan:
1. Tuition and Relief Teaching for the first few months and earn enough money to buy stuff~
2. Last few months get a job at Celini as furniture delivery man - sounds extremely crazy... labourer... Well it will be an unforgettable experience. Besides that I can get to know the roads in Singapore if I can drive the delivery van around.

"I'm 35, and it's no big deal"
I quote: Thirty five is the age men start their physical decline. But as I hit that milestone - and remain unmarried - I'm happy the way I am."
Marriage is a tricky thing. Some call it stepping into the grave while others view it as a proclamation of love. Whatever the case, most people around me ge married when they hit a certain age. It appears that the magic number lies around 28.
Let's LOOK at marriage from different angles.
Get married or get stuck. You are not, as a member of the singlehood community, eligible to apply for a flat of your own till you hit 35. In other words, live with your parents till 35 or get married. You could always root for the alternative of slogging for your condo.
Get married and get a life. We are far more Asians hat we think we are. We would suffer from insomnia when we get stares from aunties who hear that we are not married. We feel extremely uneasy when we receive red cards with the words XI on them when we could only send out our puny white namecards. We are not complete if we find ourselves in front of a TV while others are shopping for furniture and preparing for housewarming for their new houses. It's a Singaporean Dream, a Singaporean Life. You go through your education and secure a good job then get married, procreate, raise your procreations, grow old and die. I have nothing against that. It's a simple and sweet life. A life so brilliantly depicted by the song "小人物的心声".
I am the last guy on Earth you would expect to hear this from. I call it the Cinderella Dream. The names sounds extremely gay but fret not my testosterone has yet to fail me. The Cinderella Dream is a fairy tale. Like all fairy tales, it ends off with the phrase "and they lived happily ever after". It's not another "都是骗人的" kinda thing. Human beings love the feeling of settling down. They seek completion in every single thing. After a tear busting love affair, one has to settle down. You can't be chasing your "girlfriend" down the beach when you're 70! BUT a peaceful relationship does not equate to love fading. It does not equate to apathy. Conversely, spending the rest of your lives together is the sweetest thing. Well that's what I feel.
It goes like this - I wanna love you till I die, till we both break down and cry - before getting married.
After marriage it becomes - I wanna be with you for the rest of my life.
Willy's choice - 轰轰烈烈的爱 for my ger... and 不离不弃的爱 for my wife...
爱很简单, 因为爱是种感觉, 别想那么多. 从来没人教你如何感觉但你依然了解...
睡不着不希望... 对你... 轮椅... 让你开心... 我愿意...什么都愿意...
为你...

Why you talk always got the * thing? Hmm that adds colour to the sms…
Actually I am quite erm… I don’t know but is this going a little faster than expected? Well who cares… see how it goes. I guess I have become more humorous than I used to be. Let’s hope this is not an illusion or some form of hysterical reaction due to the novelty of certain things. But I cannot deny that I am excited over it. I hate to be branded. Perhaps this can provide a clue to why it seems to be more at ease. Could be a wrong message though…
I hate it when vending machines cheat my money. NO INTEGRITY AT ALL. Then again… why would machines have values? Values not money.. as in values… erm.. principles… RIGHT I was trying to be really lame.
I think I beat the red light. BUT I am always paranoid. SO let’s wait for the verdict. I have decided to drive carefully from today onwards! *PROMISE*
I feel so light today. Everything at hand seemed to be settled, at least for now. They just come to end so beautifully, one after another. Lesson learnt: FACE THE PROBLEM AND SOLVE IT. Now there is one thing look forward to – Friday. It’s a half day and I am gonna go K! Hey it rhymes!
Objective for today: look for songs I want to K on Friday. I recently discovered my exceptional talent in singing. Hubert’s gonna disagree but WTH I don’t care.
Which is heavier 1kg of cotton wool or 1kg of steel?
Did you get it rite? Please don’t be erm… yah… hahahaha
Well don’t be like me.. hahaha
Welcome back MED people. BET U ALL NEVER BUY THINGS FOR ME.

DO you understand why certain people have phobia in the strangest things? Some people are afraid of water... Some are afraid of confined spaces. Check this out - Hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia - they are afraid of the number 666 and anything associated with it.
Today I discovered that I have developed a phobia too. I hate certain names. When I hear that name I become irrational. The feeling is bad. When I see anything associated with this name I will boil. SERIOUSLY BOIL. It's petty of me. BUT try putting yourself in this situation. You lost something dear to you. It may not be the person's fault but this person was part of it. AND SO many unhappy things happened because of this person. I don't think anyone understands what this is all about but it's okay. I am used to it. I truly believe in the power of phobia now. Sorry, I am a human being too. Human beings are unreasonable.
Finally completed the task I had at work. Well sorta...
World Cup. Who do you think will win? Well seriously, Argentina plays with style and some of the African nations are pretty good too. I remember Nigeria was quite good a few world cups ago. Well they sorta disappeared. GUess consistency is the word.
Anyone watches the 9pm SCV show? The Lao Po Da Ren.. It's so funny lar. I think the wife is like me. Make the husband sign contract den when the husband break the rules will be super angry.
I HAVE LEARNT... Relationships are not supposed to be contractual. Don't make your partner make promises because they will feel restricted. But if you have made a promise try not to break it... It hurts both sides.. It hurts the trust too... In the first place don't land in a situation when u need to make promises other than ur wedding vows... Trust comes first... give space because if you control the other side so much they will want to leave even more.. But of course give your partner the reason to trust...

Many of us have not been doing housework and DIYs stuff at home. A few years ago, after we got a maid, life started to become very slack. There was no need to do the dishes anymore. Neither do I have to tidy my table. I don't even have to take out the dirty clothes from my bag. They just mysteriously disappear and appear in my closet clean.
Well NS was a way for me to wake up my idea. I had to do area cleaning, wash my own clothes, pack my own stuff and iron my own uniform. But now that I have commissioned, I have not done fatigue duty for a long time. Sigh...
大丈夫能屈能伸
If you get me to do SAI KANG again, as an officer, I will also do it. I will do it with my men! LEAD BY EXAMPLE. That's the easiest way to influence. Unless your man are 不是人 they will feel pai sei letting you do the SAI KANG. They will do it with you and respect you.
Went to play pool with Wenxiang and Suhan just now, Wenxiang is really quite zai. TO THINK I WAS THE ONE WHO INTRODUCED HIM TO POOL. *BHB*
Drove to Orchard, the traffic was like orgy. Guys here's some info. If you going to Orchard on Sun park at Cairnhill Plaza at onli 2.50 or Lido for only 2.00 flat charge.
Would you pay 20cents to use the toilet? Well I showed how stingy I was when I refused to use the toilet in Lucky Plaza. 20 CENTS??? COME ON GET A LIFE... everything also need money SIGH.. So I walked to paragon (on the way to the carpark) and used the toilet there. Paragon's toilets are free and cool. THEREFORE, when you are in Orchard, use the PARAGON TOILET! Which reminds me, did you know that LIDO toilet was not free usage in the past? Apparently, there was this guy who acted as the janitor and collected money from the patrons. This went for a darn long time... Trust me, I was LIDO's loyal customer... Well no longer.

When you find yourself
In some far-off place
And it causes you
To re-think some things
You start to sense
That slowly you're becoming someone else
And then you find yourself
And when you make new friends
In a brand new town
And you start to think
About settlin' down
The things that would've been lost on you
Are now clear as a bell
And you find yourself
Yeah, that's when you find yourself
(There you) (We) go through life
So sure of where (you're) (we're) headin'
And (you) (then we) wind up lost
And it's the best thing (that) could'a happened
('Cause) sometimes when you lose your way
It's really just as well
Because you find yourself
Yeah, that's when you find yourself
When you meet the one
That you've been waitin' for
And she's everything
That you want and more
You look at her, and you finally start
To live for someone else
And then you find yourself
Yeah, that's when you find yourself
It's a cool idea to find yourself. I think I need to find myself too. I think it's not about slowing down. It's really about feeling comfortable with the person you like. She becomes your sanctuary and a habour which you can dock at during a storm. That would be suffice.

Dear readers... Promise you won't laugh after reading this...
I drove my parents to Pasir Ris after dinner. Hmm, so confident willy wanted to drive the auto car. He took the keys and started the engine. Okay so willy was looking for the handbrake but he cant find any so he started to panic. OH NO... Clever willy den engaged the D gear and stepped on the accelerator. Yes the car moved... Eh weird? why is it so slow?
After driving for a while, my dad realised that the exclamation mark thing on the speedometer is on. IE the handbrake is not released... SO WHERE IS THE HANDBRAKE????
My dad saed there are 3 pedals... when normal auto cars only had 2. The 3rd one is the "handbrake". So embarrassed willy den stepped on the pedal and the brake was released... PAI SEI to the power of dunnoe how much... SO effectively I was wearing off my bro car's brake when i was moving at first... haha sorry~!
After driving the auto car, I finally confirmed my passion manual cars.
1. Manual cars accelerate much faster.
In Singapore, there is no use in being able to travel fast. What's more important is to be able to get from one traffic light to another faster than anyone else. For that, you will need good acceleration and manual cars have that advantage.
2. Better control
There is better control of your speed for manual cars. The speed at which you negotiate turns and the way you stop or slow down your car is better controlled with manual cars and that equates to safety.
3. SEI!
Hmm, imagine you are fetching a babe around. I think you will look more impressive showing how fast you can accelerate by changing your gears like schmacher... And how much your engine can roar and CHIONG... The movement of your hands and the gears make you look so darn cool.
4. Cheaper
Auto cars are more expensive. I think they are 5000 more.
5. Unique
When everyone in this world is driving an auto car, you could be one of the few endangered ones who is driving a manual one. That makes you special.
6. Less Sian
Driving auto cars can make you fall asleep. You basically just step brake step accelerator.. NO KICK.. Driving manual is much more fun lAR!
Ok i hope i have influenced a few ppl out there into driving a manual car.. join me...

My car keeps scratching the road when I go over humps with more than 2 ppl. Sorry guys from tomorrow onwards I shall park my car at the entrance to escape the evil humps. Let's all walk out together.
I love to drive to far far places and listen to 933 at nite. It gives me a romantic kind of feeling. The songs provoke your thoughts and make you melancholic. BUT the amount of sadness is just right, as in it does not overwhelm you. After all, you are driving so when you find yourself getting too depressed just concentrate on your driving. It can divert your attention.

I hate Free Loaders... I hate myself haha.
My work got rejected again. Well it's always the process of getting rejected then touch up, den get rejected den touch up and when the deadline's near the last touch up will be the final product. Well the consolation is that it gets better and better.
If affairs of love could work the same way. Sometimes there is just no chance given. Or it could be the case where you get rejected but you try again den you get rejected and you try again. Until the day when the both of you need to get married den you will get married. Apprehension. I despise this kinda love.
Anyway, this Friday's cohesion! Time to relak.. haha..
Hmm I've got an evil thought. Yesterday my bro just invited me to use his car. "Next time if u need to go out and dad needs to use the car just use my car... learn how to drive auto lar (apparently he didnt know i know how to drive auto well i told him later)." I hate to drive in OCS.
The street lights in OCS are so dim and the marshals don't even know where to direct us. SIGH! There was this marshal who stood in front of my car and directed me to go straight. SO this is a novel way to kill oneself huh...
BUT, it was great to see the cadets, wrong the new officers, toss their peak cap. The euphoria involved cannot be described simply by words. You guys have taken the SAF pledge on the parade square, in front of you family and friends, so please honour it. Especially the last verse, which you have so "garangly" shouted out.
"We will preserve and protect the honour and independence of our country with our lives."
The recitation of the pledge is not all about wayang. It's a promise of a life time, well at least until you finish your NS cycle.
DUTY HONOUR COUNTRY...
Come to think of it, I will be going ORD soon. I wonder what my NS posting will be. I don't want to be a PC leh... So no kick. I want either an 2ic, OC or Ssomething role. More cool...

We are living in a world full of rules. We follow the rules. We don't follow our hearts. We don't go where we want to go. Different people subscribe to different sets of rules and I think it is hard for me to find a person who go by the same rules as I do.
Rules defy wishes. Rules make life orderly. Rules restrain us. Rules protect us. Rules are a weird bunch of words which we love and hate. Rules are sometimes set by ourselves because we think they ought to be right. These rules could make you disciplined but they could also cage you. If I had a choice now. I want to hold the hand of someone I love and bring her to a place where no rules can threaten our relationship. Over at that place, we can live freely, romantically and happily. We will owe no one an explanation because life, by then, would be just spending time with her and with our kids. Life would be slow and simple. No burden, nothing. I could live my life the way I want it to be.
I just watched one full episode of the 9pm show (but i still dunnoe wat's the title). Chen Zhi Cai and Chen Han Wei were going after Fann Wong but Fann Wong chose to remain single. I was thinking if I were going after the same gal as another guy, would I give up? I think I would unless I really like that girl. I think competing to get a ger is so... weird. I dunnoe. It's not desperate u know, it's just weird.

Haha... have fun in Thailand... I want my present~!
I think this period of time should be called the movie golden period... There are like so many movies I wanna watch and they are - Omen, we are family, over the hedge, cars, tiger and the snow(must watch).
I got a paradox here... Actually it's not a true paradox because really I think there is a logical explanation to it.
Galileo's Infinity Paradox
The modern story of the infinite begins with Galileo. Galileo discovered something interesting about unbounded sets. He discovered that if you assigned a mapping between two such sets (in this case I will look at the sets of natural and positive even numbers) you will not run out of elements from the first set before running out of elements from the second. Mathematicians refer to this as a one-to-one (1-1) mapping. Here is the mapping between the natural numbers and the even numbers:
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 ... n
2 4 6 8 10 12 14 ... 2*n
This 1-1 mapping seems to imply that the set of natural numbers is the same size as the set of even numbers even though the set of natural numbers is a proper subset of the even numbers.
Anyway, waiting for a call now but it's not coming... sigh... wat's happening?

Please pardon me for the language, fine me for all I care…
LOSER OF ALL TIME…
I am a bloody loser. I lost my direction. I lost my definition. I have failed.
No fire, no passion, no nothing – a piece of trash.
I have lost it. I have lost what I have learnt during my 4 years in RI. I am disgusted at who I am today. I have turned into a quitter. A bloody failure. I look at challenges and options with fear. I tremble when I face my future. I hesitate and refuse to think. All this the result of a gross lack of confidence and determination.
Raffles taught me not quit. I must regain that. You can afford to lose. You can afford to be unsuccessful. But once you quit, you fail. You become a failure. A fighter does not quit. He fights till the very end. He stares straight into his own fears. He tries again and again. You may punch a fighter till he falls but he never fails to stand up. It’s an unwavering kind of spirit. It’s about saying “I will not stop unless I succeed”.

Dear Road Users,
pls be careful on the road. This includes drivers, motorists, pedestrians, cyclists and anyone on the road.
I was driving along Eunos and there was this guy cycling in the middle of the road. For dunno what reason he suddenly lost his balance and fell. The bus was just like few inches away from driving over his bike and his legs. After that, he stood in the middle of the road and looked at the bus driver... erm were my headlights not bright enough to show him that I was coming? THIS IS SUPER DANGEROUS. If I had followed him closely, I think I would have killed a person on the 2nd day of driving.
SO PLEASE BE CAREFUL...
These 2 days have been spent driving here and there. Having a license may not be a privilege after all. You gotta send ppl home den in the end when you reach home the time taken is the same as taking bus. Den not sending ppl home also not nice. Well the Friday driving outing to chomp chomp was good but today I was the duty driver for Darius. SICK. Drive here drive there so many cars somemore must siam here siam there. sian. Tomorrow shall be a no car day... Dun wanna drive.

Dear Friends,
I would like to offer my little experiences to those going for scholarship/university interviews. Firstly, it is perfectly normal for you to feel twitchy/worried/excited/anxious with the impending interview.
Try to treat an interview as a group people wanting to know more about you. This makes you feel that you are speaking to a group of people who have kind intentions. Never think that they are out to demoralise you or to pick on you. After establishing this, you have to be honest, well "logically honest".
ALWAYS SPEAK WITH CONVICTION.
The interview panel knows when you are saying what you believe in. It's not just your tone. It's also a feeling. DO NOT ACT. BE YOURSELF. When you are honest and natural, you will naturally speak confidently. Confidence arises when you establish the fact that there is really nothing right or wrong about views and perceptions. Even if the panel criticizes you on your character or views, you know how to rebut because you understand yourself the best. They are not you... they have no right to make think what you think is wrong...
Be consistent in your stand. DO NOT CONTRADICT YOURSELF. It's perfectly fine for you to spend some time thinking before answering their questions. It may seem awkward or leng2 chang3 but it's seriously ok. Do not rush into an answer unless you are darn sure.
Reflect on your character before going for the interview. Know what kind of person you are because you are there to tell them who you are. They are not there to choose a saint or a perfect person. They are there to choose someone who is confident, certain, honest and exhibit a strong character. CHARACTER is the word. Show them you have views of your own. NEVER SAY YOU HAVE NO OPINIONS. More than not I don't think they are looking for perfect answers like "World Peace". What they want to hear is whether you have an opinion of your own. I think to them a non-conformists is more attractive than a conformist. BUT don't object for the sake of objecting. Don't be too extreme too.
BE CONFIDENT. That is the most basic. DON'T STUTTER. Look into their eyes when you answer their questions and smile. STARE FEAR AND ANXIETY STRAIGHT IN THE FACE AND CHALLENGE IT.
If the interview didn't "go well", you may get the scholarship also. I think there are ppl out there who totally screw up their interviews but still get the scholarship. Even if you don't get it, you walk away from the interview clearer of who you are. If you have spoken with conviction, you should not feel disappointed because you have proven your point. It's just that the organisation does not think it matches with theirs. AT LEAST you have made your point.
don worry.. be confident... be yourself.. make your point known.. There are not many opportunities for you tell ppl esp big shots about who you are and what you think.. make it worthwhile! =)
